About the role
We are seeking an experience Mechanical Fitter to join our Perth Branch, with periodic FIFO travel to Port Hedland and remote customer sites (up to 12 weeks per year, typically in 2-week rotations).
This role offers a strong balance between workshop-based work in Perth and site-based FIFO work, making it ideal for a fitter who enjoys variety without committing to full-time FIFO.
Assembly, maintenance and repair of hydraulic and mechanical tools and equipment
Workshop-based repairs and testing at the Perth Branch
FIFO site work providing breakdown support, servicing and commissioning
Fault finding and diagnostics on specialised equipment
Test, tag, calibration and certification where required
Maintaining accurate service and safety documentation
Working in compliance with WHS and site safety requirements.
FIFO & Travel Requirements
FIFO travel up to 12 weeks per year
Typically 2 weeks at a time, scheduled in advance
Flights, accommodation (sometimes company shared) and site allowance provided
Work on remote mining and industrial sites plus onsite workshop
About You
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
Experience in hydraulics, mining or industrial environments (highly desirable)
Strong fault-finding and mechanical skills
Ability to work independently on site and as part of a team
Current driver’s licence
Ability to pass medical and drug & alcohol screening and a police check
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
